the idea behind this was due to the idea of a triangle symbolising unity, as the song 'taken back' portays this in its message i felt a triangle was the best way to show this.with lyrics like 'because ive got the best freinds anyone could ask for' and we would have no water, but what we'd have is unity'the song clearly fits with this album cover. The Sea background was selected as a symbol of peace and serenity, this is shown in the ancilarys and video showing the band to be a calm happy band, this challenges todays veiws on rock music, todays veiws are that rock music is solem and sad with teen angst, the sort of music made by 'We Say When' is the oppasite and shows a side to rock music otherwise not explored by many bands.
my final ancillary poster, desighned to catch someones eye if it was place in a magazine, this engages the target audience i want as it is the middle sleeve modified to fit the page and the brightness is enhanced,thios is better then my old one due to the information being displayed in an interesting manner
the location was easy to get to from my house being only 2 minutes away, this was a beautiful rural place away from people where we could set up the shoot for the video, this was obtained by asking the landowner for a day if we could shoot, we where lucky with such nice surounding for the video and the weather was with us on the shoot this made it very easy to shoot the band using natural lighting, the first establishing shots of the video in the picture above gave people an idea of what the rest of the video would turn out like.

my draft album cover, as i have done alot of research , the album covers are extremly important and have to match the feel to the band and songs on it, i have found a picture of a rope and eddited the colour abnd the look of the texture on this, i also did this to the writing and logo making them all match,i have used the same font as i used on my previous album cover idea,i have also made a small fade to darker in the corners to make sure the rope and the writting stand out of the cover to people, i feel this is fit to purpose,for not only the band but for the music and idea behind the music
i selected this as the back ground for an album cover for the scene in the background, with edditing in photoshop and picnic i made the back groundsofter and inserted the lgo towards the bottom to stand out from the picture, the words'taken back' the name of the song, are also on the picture to stand out, i used the font i found on a free font we site and removed the back ground making it posable to the picture this is on a white background to contrast the black letters, i feel this cover portrays the message of the song and is quite a happy cover.
